Where did they film the scene where Jaime trains with Bronn?

Bronn trained Jaime to fight with his left hand after the tragic loss of his sword hand. They chose a serene, sealed-off place by the sea, away from prying eyes. The training platform is located in Trsteno Arboretum in Trsteno, Croatia. This arboretum was used as a movie set for several “Game of Thrones” scenes in seasons 3 and 4.

The Trsteno Arboretum is not only a filming location but also the oldest arboretum in this part of the world, dating back to the 15th century. To supply fresh water, the owners built a viaduct that connects to a fountain in the middle of the park. Since 1948, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts has been maintaining the garden.

Ways to get to the Trsteno Arboretum

Getting to the Trsteno Arboretum is simple. By car, follow the signs from the main road in Trsteno, where you will find parking spaces. If they are full, additional parking is available further down the road.

The botanical garden is well-connected, being around a 20-minute drive from Dubrovnik. Buses from Dubrovnik are also an option, with more info on departures and tickets HERE.
