Where did they film the “Hogsmeade station” scene?
The magical scenes of Hogsmeade Station were shot at Goathland Station, located near Whitby, North England. The exact address of the station is Cow Wath Bank, Goathland, Whitby YO22 5NF, UK.
The surrounding area of the station underwent digital alterations to create the illusion of being secluded in nature, surrounded only by hills and the magnificent Hogwarts castle. Visitors to Goathland Station will recognize the same benches and lamps from the film, although the color of the wooden buildings has changed slightly.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001):
- All the first-year students, including Harry, Ron, and Hermione, arrive at Hogsmeade Station on the Hogwarts Express. Hagrid welcomes them and leads them to the boats that will take them to the castle.
- At departure from Hogsmeade Hagrid gives Harry the album of his parents.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002):
- Students return to Hogwarts for the second year, with the usual gathering at the platform.
- At the end of the school year, students are shown departing from Hogsmeade Station.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004):
- The students arrive once again at Hogsmeade Station. The scene is notable for the arrival of the Dementors, searching for Sirius Black, causing a sense of fear and chill amongst the students and staff.
- The students leave Hogwarts at the end of the school year, and there’s a warm farewell between friends.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005):
