How to get to the Mavora Lakes Park?
Mavora Lakes Park is west of the resort town of Queenstown, a famous tourist center on the South Island. If you’re a fan of the Lord of the Rings and wish to visit more filming locations, Queenstown is an ideal base.
Reaching the park requires a 2.5-hour drive from Queenstown, but the scenic beauty of Mavora Park is well worth the effort. Campers will also find a convenient camping area at the south end of North Mavora Lake.
